1. Overview

LinkedIn Outreach Personalizer ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users generate personalized LinkedIn outreach messages using Claude AI. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

We are committed to collecting the minimum data necessary and never selling or sharing your personal information with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only one piece of personally identifiable information:

Email address — entered voluntarily by the user when first using the Extension. This is used solely to identify your account and check whether you have an active Pro subscription.

We do not collect:

LinkedIn profile data about other members (it is processed in real time and never stored)
Passwords or authentication credentials
Financial or payment information (handled entirely by Stripe)
Browsing history or web activity beyond the single active LinkedIn tab
Location data
Any data from children under 13

3. How We Use Your Data

Email address: Sent to our backend server to check your subscription status (Free or Pro) each time you open the Extension. It is stored in our database solely for this purpose and is never used for marketing without your explicit consent.
LinkedIn profile text: When you click Generate, visible text from the LinkedIn profile you are viewing (name, headline, company, About section) is sent to our backend, which forwards it to the Claude AI API to generate messages. This text is not stored on our servers and is discarded immediately after the response is returned to your browser.
Usage count: A daily generation counter is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device.

4. Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude AI): Profile text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate outreach messages. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data: anthropic.com/privacy
Stripe: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
Railway: Our backend is hosted on Railway. No LinkedIn data is persisted on Railway's infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

Your email address and subscription status are retained in our database for as long as you have an account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us (see Section 8). Upon deletion, your email and subscription record will be permanently removed within 7 days.

6. Security

All communication between the Extension and our backend uses HTTPS. Your Claude API key and Stripe secret keys are stored server-side only and are never exposed in the Extension's code. We do not store sensitive payment information.

7. LinkedIn Terms of Service

This Extension is designed to comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service. It does not automate any actions on LinkedIn, does not access LinkedIn's API, and only reads text that is already publicly visible on a profile page that the user is actively viewing.

8. Your Rights & Contact

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Extension

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
